I made the mistake of purchasing this poor-quality, "self-published" version of Traherne's 'Centuries'. This copy is perfectly fine for use as something to dog-ear, highlight, or write notes on while studying early Anglican religious philosophy--but I would not recommend it for any other activity (other than to eventually throw it in the recycling bin). I'd recommend purchasing the 1958 or 1960 editions.p.s. -- the totally nonsensical synopsis from the bookseller is also printed on the back.

Centuries of Meditations Bertram Dobell Thomas Traherne 9781142088712 Books Reviews
I cannot imagine anyone who would fail to be inspired by the vision of Thomas Traherne!
Traherne's vision is a way of seeing that transforms this ordinary world of ours into the kingdom of heaven.
This vision is joyously proclaimed in the first eight percent of CENTURIES OF MEDITATIONS. The remaining 92% is not a vision, but a homily, a theological exposition, an eloquent guided tour over all too familiar terrain.

I'm writing this review on a page displaying the CreateSpace edition of Centuries of Meditations. The descriptive blurb is total nonsense and not at all about Traherne's book, describing it as an anthology of classic literature. This is another example of 's sloppy display and description of the products it sells. The giant merchandiser is too big when it can't catch and correct obvious errors like this. And I am almost sure that this review will go unnoticed and the faulty description won't be corrected.
The publishing of this book is weak. I needed this book for a research paper and it was difficult to source correctly because it was missing number headings. I am disappointed that I had to buy another book.
