Clark is what drew my attention, I quickly breezed through the pages available online & was able to get a great 'feel' for style in which it is written as well as character establishment. Most importantly, I WANTED TO KNOW MORE!! This is one of those books that keeps you reading because you want to know WHY, WHAT'S HAPPENING NEXT, WHERE ARE THEY GOING TO GO FROM HERE? It was fantastic, but easy. The characters draw you into their lives to the point that I wanted to be friends with them (except maybe Laura in the beginning - we'd have clashed when I attempted to set her butt straight on what she was doing! haha), to have this type of support structure.
