Wow, you’ve done it again! I absolutely loved this book. I’ve been telling myself that I was going to read it for months and I finally picked it up a few days ago. I’m so happy I did. I was hooked from the opening chapter. That was shady as hell---the usher? Smh. DeAngelo has been through a lot and the situation with Shawn certainly didn’t help his case any, although something about Shawn seemed genuine from the jump. I caught on early as to his profession when he mentioned the twins in a later chapter. Still, I wondered how this was going to work. I wanted it to work. I don’t know what Brannon was thinking. He had to know in the back of his mind that it wasn’t going to pan out the way he wanted. Regardless, that was bold. I know DeAngelo was hurt, but I was rooting for love to win out and thankfully, love won! Oh yeah…poor Aubrey…that girl needs a man. Lol. Great story.Product details

it was a nice read. I like how it discussed how young black men get caught up in the lifestyle of selling their dick and ass to survive financially.
Omg, I love this book, it is by far the best love story I have read in years hell at times I want to be Shawn and at times DeAngelo! The emotions the love the feelings they shared inspired me not to give up on love maybe it will happen one day! Thank you Gavin ML Fletcher for this book I look forward to "His Kiss"!
I LOVED IT! THIS BOOK HAD ME ON EDGE THROUGHOUT. THERE WERE SOME MOMENTS WHEN I WANTED TO SCREAM, OTHERS WHEN I WANTED TO CRY AND OTHERS WHERE I WAS SO TURNED ON. IT WAS HOT. GREAT READ! ENOUGH SAID!
This was recommended to me by friends as they see me as a version of one of the main characters, DeAngelo. Once I picked it up yesterday, I could not wait to finish it the following day. At every breaking moment, I was getting the book and reading. A good story.
It's a light read. Interesting but could have been better edited for grammatical issues and some consistency in the story. I wish there was more depth to the story and characters but it was ok for a quick read.
If this is the author's first book then it's a start and I hope he continues to get better. If not, then he needs a better editor.
Omg !Omg! This is hands down one of the best five books I ever read! An instant classic and an instant fan I am! Hands down let me just say this book is straight heat. Instantly classic like B-boy blues and passion marks.Without spoiling this book let me just say I felt every single emotion sexually,mentally,physically and emotionally. I literally felt everything in this story.
I could feel every pain,joy etc. that every character felt especially as pertains to D'eanglo and Shawn.The story takes place in the boroughs of N.Y. and it felt very true to that vibe of the city. I felt a lot of myself in D'eanglo especially living in Atlanta and all that he went through in his previous relationships. Shawn was very realistic to having a hard life and having to have a hustle mentality. A straightup N.y. Hustler.
Straightup a lot of the urban lgbt literature I have read is pretty redundant,stereotypical and the characters seem undeveloped.The character and the development was so good it's very easy to visualize and it's like watching a movie literally.
I had to wakeup and finish this story because it's a page turner and shocking.I rarely get shocked. This is the hood version of Noah's arc somewhat in my opinion.You will root for Shawn and D'eanglos love to the end!
Beast is the truth and heat straightup! The kind of love and companionship urban lgbt wish and pray for in this story! Do not sleep on this get your copy! After you read it you also get to subscribe to a newsletter with cool books by him on the free and updated news!
